Postpartum Newborn Home Visit
The Postpartum Newborn Home Visit is a service available for new moms and their babies. In the first few days after leaving the hospital, many changes occur for both you and your baby. During the home visit, a nurse will come to check on both of you, ensuring that everything is going well.
The nurse will ask about your health and your baby’s health, weigh your baby, and perform a physical exam. Follow-up visits will be scheduled every few days until your baby reaches or surpasses their birth weight. Afterward, the nurse will organize your baby’s first Well-Baby Clinic visit when they reach their 1-month milestone.
