Position

Child Injury Prevention Worker
Indeterminate/ Part-Time (21 hours per week)

Job Summary

The Child Injury Prevention Worker works under the supervision of the Community Health Unit Manager with the support of a Community Health Nurse. The Child Injury Prevention Worker will develop and implement culturally relevant safety awareness campaigns directed to children aged 0-16 years. He/she will help to develop a comprehensive strategic plan in the areas outlined that addresses the needs of the Kahnawake population in the areas of prevention and promotion.

Requirements

Diploma in Human Relations or related field
Certificate/DEC in related field with three (3) to five (5) years of job-related experience
High School Diploma with five (5) years of job-related work experience and/or training may be considered

Salary

In accordance to the Quebec Ministry of Health and Social Services (MSSS) reference Code 1219, Group 208:
Echelon 1 $26.63 to Echelon 11 $34.45 per hour, depending on experience
