The Department of Nutrition and Food Services has a mission to provide high quality nutritional care and food services for KMHC residents, Adult Day Center participants and personnel. Individualized therapeutic nutrition counseling is provided. Nutrition education is offered in the community through health and nutrition events, presentations to community groups, and nutrition classes and activities in the schools.


Areas of Activities


Administration: Hospital food services are designed to meet the nutritional and clinical needs of our clientele. Home-style meals are prepared on site.

Clinical: Therapeutic nutritional care is provided through individual assessment and counseling. Diabetes education is provided as part of the hospital's Diabetes Education Program.

Community: Good nutrition is promoted to all age groups, through health and nutritional events, presentations to community groups, nutrition classes and activities in the schools, and through use of the local media. Our department also serves as a nutrition resource to interested community groups.
